Cercropia Moth Screenprint

hyalophora cercropia. This type of moth is the largest in north america. It is a saturniid moth, a member of the giant silk moth family. I paired this beautiful moth with one of it’s host plants, the beech tree. This print is a part of an ongoing series called Transformations, which features insects and engages with the possibilities to make bold and difficult changes to our mind and bodies, and the idea of the process of becoming.
